As I continue my work on my project of making 200 winged victories (NIKE) by 2012, I share here some early charcoals, and along with some oils, and watercolors, have added some new woodcut prints in process, and finished. I wish for everyone to have a 'million dollar friend'
I've sketched in the kitchen, church, every room in the house, the car, outside, on ballfields, stadiums the beach, I sketch. For many years now I've followed my son and many of his friends who all call me Mrs. C to watch them perform in stadiums, church festivals, county festivals, city festivals, beach parties and bars. My biggest dream and goal in life was to be a wife and mom, all my dreams came true, and more; for as I learned to be constructive and create; art knocked on my door, and I answered; after teaching myself to draw and learning and practicing painting for many years with my mentor and teacher Judi Betts, I discovered what was so close all along, a school right over the river in Philadelphia, and it is my joy and pleasure to continue to learn and create there at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, All my children create and I'm pleased that the music of Frank Cervantes is featured here, A regular on WXPN Philadelphia, on tour now on the east coast and working on another album with his project The City Music Project in Philadelphia.
